Cape Gate Crescent

The design of this 182-unit apartment and townhouse private residential development is informed by a pre-existing urban design framework. This framework outlined the need for an avenue running from south to north through the site as well as both a linear ‘buffer’ park on the eastern boundary and a central green space connecting the linear park to an existing private park on the western boundary.

The buildings are designed around these informants and scaled in response & reaction to the surrounding suburban context. Buildings are located to create a series of special, individualised spaces, ensuring that all units have access to plenty of natural light. Every effort has been made to ensure that the spaces between the buildings are carefully considered to create different scales of courtyards, giving each cluster of buildings a unique feel and experience. MVA also designed the branding for this development.
